Are contact lenses uncomfortable for you?
Our doctors at Holt Eye Care will work to discover the underlying problem. Sometimes simply changing material or fit of a contact lens will help. While other times, it may be dry eye that is causing the problem. Once dry eye is treated and under control, contact lenses may be worn with better comfort. There are many underlying factors that could be making your contact lenses uncomfortable, so be sure to schedule if your eyes seems irritated.

Hybrid Lenses
Holt Eye Care offers hybrid lenses for patients with spectacle power that is too high or astigmatism that is too large for soft contact lenses. Hybrid lenses have a hard center and soft skirt. The hard center allows the doctor to correct any spectacle power or astigmatism amount while the soft skirt provides comfort comparable to that of a soft contact lens.

Multi-focal Contact Lenses
For those of you who are 40+ years old and are tired of wearing readers over your contact lenses, Holt Eye Care provides numerous multi-focal contact lens designs in both soft and hard lenses. Multi-focal technology continues to improve year after year. You may have tried multi-focal contact lenses in the past without prevail. This does not mean that a different design or fit will not work for you. Even if you have astigmatism, our doctors at Holt Eye Care can find a multi-focal contact lens that will suit your visual needs.

Gas Permeable (Hard) Lenses
The best vision that can be achieved is with a gas permeable lens. Therefore, the doctors are trained in all the gas permeable lens options. The technology offered with gas permeable lenses is much greater than soft lenses. This allows our doctors to correct any visual prescription and provide more visual options than what is available with soft lenses. Active individuals can freely participate in sports without the interference of glasses or contacts. Eye irritation and dryness, sometimes associated with contact lens wear due to outside dust and pollutants, are also eliminated. Our professionals can help fit you into a pair of lenses that is just right for you. We are experts in fitting contact lenses and can handle the most specialized needs. Whether it is rigid or soft lenses, we are experienced in handling the most difficult of prescriptions.
